Description A small Torrance Tax firm is in need of a Bookkeeper on a contract to hire basis. This role requires you to be full on-site in the office handling financial transactions including fixed payments, variable expenses, bank deposits, and tax processing. Duties also include maintaining company ledgers, preparing tax returns, and closing year-end books. Administrative roles involve scheduling appointments, managing incoming calls, and maintaining organized filing systems. This role is Monday- Friday and during tax season, there may be a need to work on a Saturday. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is expected • Must have experience with Accounts Payable (AP) • Must be skilled in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) • Competence in performing Bank Reconciliations • Must have solid Bookkeeping experience • Data Entry skills are essential • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is needed • Experience in Month End Close • Proficiency in QuickBooks or Lacerte are required Ideal candidates shall have an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
