Bookkeeper
Description Job Summary We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for enacting day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining the financial health of our organization. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers and thrives in a structured environment. Key Responsibilities Record Financial Transactions + Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries (Source: US Demand for Skilled Talent). + Post and verify daily transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Reconcile Accounts + Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a regular basis. + Address discrepancies and identify potential financial risks. Prepare Financial Reports + Generate balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports as needed. + Assist with reporting during audits or financial reviews. Track Accounts Payable and Receivable + Monitor vendor balances and ensure timely payments. + Follow up on outstanding invoices owed to the company. Tax Preparation Support + Assist accounting teams in preparing for tax filings. + Maintain records and supporting documents to ensure compliance with tax regulations. Compliance and Record Maintenance + Maintain organized, up-to-date financial records. + Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies. Collaboration + Work closely with departments to manage budgets and control costs. + Liaise with external accountants, auditors, or tax professionals when necessary. Process Payroll (Nice to have) + Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including calculating wages and filing required taxes and deductions. Requirements Qualifications Education: An associate degree or higher in accounting, finance, and/or hands-on work experience is necessary related field or work Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of bookkeeping or related experience.
