Description We are offering an opportunity for a Bookkeeper to work with our team in the Home Construction and Residential Rental industry. Based in San Antonio, Texas, this role provides a small-office environment experience, where you'll handle accounting and administrative tasks for multiple entities.
Responsibilities:
• Handle full-cycle accounts payable tasks such as coding and entering vendor invoices, facilitating check runs, maintaining ledgers, and resolving issues.
• Prepare and record bank deposits, loan principal, and interest payments across multiple accounts.
• Take charge of payroll processing, filing 941s/TWCs, and managing monthly/quarterly employee tax payments.
• Generate and file W2s/1099s as necessary.
• Conduct month-end reconciliations for bank accounts, payroll, AR/AP, and intercompany transfers.
• Prepare journal entries for asset, liability, revenue, and expense accounts, and reconcile profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Collaborate with CPAs on tax preparation and assist with audits.
• Analyze general ledger accounts to explain variances against budgets.
• Assist in preparing and submitting draw requests to banks and funding requests to partners.
• Track and record property taxes for multiple properties.
• Maintain well-organized and systematized financial records and files.
• Coordinate with the property management team regarding rental income, expenses, deductions, and property-level financials. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is essential.
• Must have experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP).
• Demonstrable skills in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• Capable of performing Bank Reconciliations.
• Should have solid Bookkeeping experience.
• Must be adept at Data Entry tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Experience in Month End Close procedures is necessary.
• Capable of managing Payroll tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software is required.
• Familiarity with Form 1099 procedures is needed.
• Experience in handling W2 forms is necessary.
• Ability to Identify Variance in financial data is crucial.
• Must be able to Explain Variance in financial data effectively.
