Description Bookkeeper Location: Parsippany, NJ Our client, a growing organization, is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to join their team. In this role, you will manage day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate records, timely reporting, and overall financial health. Key Responsibilities: + Maintain accurate records of financial transactions by posting and reconciling accounts. + Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, payments, and collections. + Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a regular basis. + Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements. + Process payroll and ensure proper tracking of employee expenses and benefits (if applicable). + Track and manage sales tax filings and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. + Collaborate with management to support budgeting, forecasting, and audits. Requirements Qualifications: + Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience. + 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role. + Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite. + Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Preferred Skills: + Experience with payroll processing and benefits coordination. + Knowledge of multi-entity or multi-location financial operations. + Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., CB, CPB).
