Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper role located in Cleveland, Ohio. The role primarily revolves around processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. The successful candidate will be working in the industry, with the main job function being to monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action. Responsibilities: • Review payable invoices related to the job in collaboration with the project manager. • Work closely with the Controller. • Prepare monthly project billings for both lump sum and time and material projects. • Follow up on past due balances in all accounts receivable. • Coordinate payments to subcontractors. • Maintain constructive relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management. • Handle data entry of invoices for payment and link them to the accounting software. • Carry out daily maintenance of unapproved invoices as per Approver notes. • Prepare weekly payables work files for approval and process payments via different methods. • Review vendor statements and respond to vendor calls regarding past due invoices. Requirements • Must possess strong skills in account reconciliation, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved timely. • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required, ensuring all payments are made and received on schedule. • Capable of conducting bank reconciliations, verifying and balancing receipts, and tracking all banking transactions. • Must have a solid background in bookkeeping, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
