Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Hartford, Connecticut. The role primarily involves managing customer accounts, handling accounts payable and receivable, and dealing with project job costing. The selected individual will be part of a dynamic team, working within the construction industry. Responsibilities: • Handle accounts receivable functions • Administer accounts payable operations • Carry out project job costing • Manage certified payroll and AIA billing • Oversee prevailing wages and liaise with subcontractors • Ensure a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks • Utilize Office Suite, particularly Excel, and Sage software for various tasks • Use QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks • Execute account reconciliation and bank reconciliations • Conduct data entry tasks as required • Handle month-end close activities Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in a Bookkeeper role or a similar position. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management. • Strong ability in performing Bank Reconciliations. • Solid understanding of Bookkeeping principles and practices. • Strong Data Entry skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and speed. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and data analysis tools. • Experience in handling Month End Close procedures. • Familiarity with Payroll processing and reporting. • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
