Bookkeeper

Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in high-volume accounts payable and receivable, along with experience in AP research, purchase orders (POs), and journal entries. Prior experience in the construction or rental property industry is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):
+ Process a high volume of invoices and ensure timely payments.
+ Perform AP research to resolve discrepancies and vendor issues.
+ Match purchase orders (POs) with invoices and verify accuracy.
+ Maintain organized and up-to-date AP records.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
+ Generate and send invoices to clients and customers.
+ Track and follow up on outstanding receivables.
+ Apply customer payments and reconcile AR accounts.
+ Assist in the preparation of AR aging reports.
Journal Entries:
+ Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
+ Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
+ Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Purchase Orders (POs):
+ Review and process purchase orders.
+ Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve PO discrepancies.
+ Maintain accurate records of all POs and related documentation.
Financial Reporting:
+ Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
+ Support the finance team with various accounting and reporting tasks.
Compliance and Audits:
+ Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
+ Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
SALARY RANGE: $24 - $25/hour

Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an accounting role, focusing on accounts payable and receivable.
+ Industry Experience: Experience in the construction or rental property industry is a plus.
Skills:
+ Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
