Description We are actively searching for a proficient Bookkeeper, located in Melville, New York. As a bookkeeper, your role will encompass the handling of bank reconciliations,, managing customer accounts, and utilizing software tools for efficient operation. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Execute accurate and efficient bank reconciliations • Manage a vast number of bank accounts monthly • Engage in account reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable • Take on additional responsibilities such as a GL analyst role, based on performance • Ensure the accurate processing of customer credit applications • Maintain precise customer credit records • Monitor customer accounts and perform necessary actions. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary, demonstrating the ability to manage outgoing payments and invoices. • Skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) are a must, showing the capacity to handle incoming payments and receipts. • Capability to perform Bank Reconciliations is essential, highlighting the ability to compare internal financial records with monthly statements from financial institutions. • Prior experience in Bookkeeping is crucial, indicating the ability to maintain, organize, and analyze financial records and transactions.
