Description A results-oriented Bookkeeper is needed for multiple positions in the Easton area. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and preparing financial reports. Key Responsibilities: + Develop and maintain a system to track financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts and defining bookkeeping policies. + Verify, allocate, and post transactions to subsidiary accounts and reconcile discrepancies. + Ensure accuracy by balancing subsidiary accounts and preparing a trial balance for reconciliation. + Maintain and update the general ledger by summarizing subsidiary account data. + Prepare and analyze financial reports to track trends and provide insights for management. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations by studying legal requirements and filing necessary reports. + Maintain organized and accurate historical records by filing financial documents. + Assist with audits and provide financial data as needed. + Support the accounting team and contribute to overall company efficiency. Requirements Qualifications: + Experience: Minimum 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. + Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (preferred but not required). + Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software. + Key Skills: Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
