Description Robert Half is partnering with an organization that is in the process of expanding their team in Elmsford, New York, and are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper. The successful candidate will be responsible for reconciling accounts, handling both payable and receivable accounts, and maintaining financial records. This role operates within the finance and accounting industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities • Manage the company's financial bookkeeping, including recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and completing annual tax forms. • Utilize accounting software, like QuickBooks, to perform duties and responsibilities. • Perform data entry tasks, ensuring the accuracy of the data entered into the company's system. • Oversee payroll procedures, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. • Prepare tax returns using Drake Tax Software and ensure compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements. • Maintain accurate records by performing account reconciliations. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to record, track, and analyze financial information. • Ensure accurate record-keeping by regularly updating and maintaining financial documents and files. • Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues relating to the financial records or accounts. Requirements • Proven experience with Account Reconciliation • Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) • Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) • Hands-on experience with Bank Reconciliations • Solid understanding and experience in Bookkeeping • Ability to perform accurate Data Entry tasks • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience with Payroll processing • Proficiency in QuickBooks software • Experience in Tax Preparation • Familiarity with Drake Tax Software Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
