Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper in our team, based in Queens, New York. This role revolves around ensuring smooth accounting operations within our hospitality sector and maintaining precise financial records. As a Bookkeeper, your skills in processing transactions, tracking expenses, and generating reports will be instrumental in our operational success. Responsibilities: • Utilize QuickBooks to confidently handle payments, issue invoices, reconcile accounts, and produce financial reports. • Maintain meticulous records of daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Provide support for payroll activities and ensure their accurate and timely execution. • Perform monthly reconciliations to secure accurate bookkeeping. • Address the specific accounting needs of the hospitality industry, including revenue recognition, inventory tracking, and expense categorization. • Manage financial records to assist upper management in decision-making, including preparing financial statements, forecasts, and budget tracking reports. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various data management and reporting tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a bookkeeper role or similar. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Proven ability to perform Bank Reconciliations. • Solid understanding and practical experience of bookkeeping. • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
