Bookkeeper
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Olive Branch, Mississippi. The Bookkeeper will be an integral part of our financial team, dealing with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow management, and payroll processes. Responsibilities • Managing cash flow on a day-to-day basis, including recording deposits and disbursements, and assisting with bank account reconciliations. • Processing invoices in the accounts payable system, ensuring vendor payments are managed effectively, maintaining accurate ledgers, and reconciling vendor statements. • Recording customer invoices in the accounts receivable system, tracking receivables, issuing statements, and following up on outstanding payments for timely collections. • Preparing and processing payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with regulations, and addressing any payroll inquiries. • Maintaining and updating financial records in accounting software or ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and industry standards. • Preparing periodic reports, such as cash flow projections and AR aging, for management review. • Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations. • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, labor laws, and general accounting standards. • Assisting with audit processes when needed, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role. • Proficiency in account reconciliation and managing accounts payable and receivable. • Experience in performing bank reconciliations. • Demonstrated expertise in bookkeeping practices and procedures. • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and reporting. • Experience in managing month-end close procedures. • Knowledge of payroll processes and systems. • Familiarity with Acumatica software is a plus.
