Bookkeeper

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Vista, California. This role revolves around overseeing financial entries and reconciliations, managing vendor relationships, supporting office operations, and assisting the sales and operations teams. The Bookkeeper will also be involved in payroll processing and the development of office policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee project accounting and AIA Billing
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring timely invoicing and payments
• Assist with reception duties and visitor management
• Support sales and operations teams as needed
• Manage office services, ensuring organized operations, controlled correspondences, and well-designed filing systems
• Process payroll on a weekly basis and off-cycle when required, taking into account all employee timecards and deductions
• Enhance office efficiency by planning and implementing equipment procurement, office layouts, and systems
• Set up and implement office policies and procedures, ensuring they guide office operations effectively
• Measure results against standards and make necessary adjustments
• Review and analyze special projects, keeping leadership well informed
• Promote activities that improve operational procedures. Requirements • Proficient in account reconciliation, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, verifying transactions match between records and bank statements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, capable of managing large datasets and performing complex calculations.
• Ability to manage month-end close processes, ensuring all financial records are accurate and complete.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks for managing and recording financial transactions.
• Experience with certified payroll procedures, ensuring compliance with labor standards and regulations.
• Familiarity with AIA billing, managing the application and certification of payments in construction projects.
