Bookkeeper (Collections & AR\/AP Specialist)

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with at least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, collections, and accounts receivable\/accounts payable (AR\/AP) to join our team. This position is NOT remote. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks and possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage collections and maintain accurate financial records.\n

Key Responsibilities:\n\nManage all aspects of bookkeeping, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.\nHandle accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, payments, and collections.\nMonitor outstanding balances and proactively follow up with clients on overdue accounts, maintaining a consistent and professional approach to collections.\nProcess and track vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and other payable functions.\nGenerate and send invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms.\nWork closely with management to provide financial insights, including cash flow analysis and budgeting assistance.\nMaintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.\nUtilize QuickBooks to manage financial data, generate reports, and reconcile bank and credit card statements.\nAssist in preparing for audits and liaise with external accountants when necessary.\nRespond to client and vendor inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account status.\n\n

Requirements:\n\nAt least 5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, with a focus on AR\/AP and collections.\nStrong proficiency in QuickBooks, with the ability to generate and analyze financial reports.\nExperience managing collections and maintaining positive client relationships.\nExcellent attention to detail and organizational skills.\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and tactful approach to client interactions.\nAbility to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience in the pool management or related service industry is a plus but not required.\n\n

Job Specifications:\n\nConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.\nImmediate opening.\nFull Time position 35-40 hours per week. General office hours are M-F, 9am-5pm. \nSalary: up to $30 per hour; based on experience and qualifications. Bi-weekly pay period.\n\n
