Responsibilities The Lead Bookkeeper assists the Business Office Manager with monitoring and leading the day to day operations of the payroll and accounts payable function in the Business Office. The Lead Bookkeeper provides training and guidance to the Rehab Bookkeepers as needed. 1. Assists the Business Office Manager with development and maintenance of a successful team through training, strong communication, collaboration, and problem solving. 2. Monitors daily staff workloads and delegates work as needed. 3. Assists and leads staff in meeting daily and monthly deadlines. 4. Reviews staff members work and provides feedback to staff and to the supervisor. 5. Leads training sessions with center staff and new hires. 6. Handles staff issues and concerns in a discreet and confidential manner. 7. Assists in interviewing and screening potential new employees within the department. 8. Reviews and resolves third party utility issues with staff. 9. Provides excellent customer service to all Genesis personnel. 10. Assists with review and resolution of outstanding checks and returned checks. 11. Creates mutually beneficial relationships with payroll and accounts payable management teams and staff as well as center and corporate staff. 12. Assists the Business Office Manager with project work as required such as updating the payroll and accounts payable training manuals and policies and procedures. 13. Performs other duties as assigned. Compliance Responsibilities: * Complies with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including but not limited to those within the Compliance Process, Standard/Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act and HIPAA. * Participates in required orientation and training programs. * Promptly reports concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance to supervisor, Compliance Liaison or to the Compliance Officer via the Integrity Hotline. * Cooperates with monitoring and audit functions and investigations. * Participates, as requested, in quality assurance and process improvement activities. Qualifications 1. Minimum of High School diploma/GED. 2. Minimum of two years payroll experience in a high volume computerized environment. 3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications and a willingness to learn Windows and Google based computer software. 4. Strong problem solving skills. Posted Salary Range USD $42,000.00 - USD $50,000.00 /Yr.
