Description We are in the hunt for a Bookkeeper Payroll Specialist to join our team based in Durham, North Carolina. As a Bookkeeper Payroll Specialist, your main tasks will involve maintaining and managing financial records, handling payroll tasks, and utilizing QuickBooks for various financial operations. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Handle payroll operations ensuring accurate and timely processing • Maintain and update financial records in a meticulous manner • Utilize QuickBooks for managing and tracking various financial tasks • Respond to and resolve any payroll related inquiries from employees • Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking necessary action when required • Process customer credit applications with high accuracy and efficiency • Maintain precise records of customer credit information • Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in payroll processing and management is a must. • Expertise in using QuickBooks software is required. • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is necessary. • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Payroll Specialist is essential. • Familiarity with general accounting principles. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Strong numerical skills and data entry management. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to payroll.
