Boost Controls Subsystems - Responsible System Engineer Delegate

We are an integrated product team \(IPT\) looking for a dependable and experienced Responsible System Engineer \(RSE\) Delegate\. The Boost Controls Subsystems \(BCS\) IPT is an organization within FBM that is responsible for the development, production, and sustainment of the sub\-systems that control the missile during the boost phase of flight\. The BCS RSE Delegate will work under the guidance of the BCS RSE and be responsible for and oversee all technical aspects regarding all lifecycle phases and aspects of the Thrust Vector Control \(TVC\) and Aerospike sub\-systems which provide mechanical control during the boost phase of missile flight\. This position is for a RSE Delegate within the BCS IPT\. The RSE Delegate will: • Be the technical authority and subject matter expert for all BCS subsystems • Support all Failure Review Boards \(FRB’s\), Material Review Boards \(MRB’s\), Engineering Review Boards \(ERB’s\), and Technical Information and Alignment Meetings \(TIM’s/TAM’s\) • Support all Flight Readiness Reviews \(FRR’s\), flight test activities, hardware pedigree reviews, etc\. • Support the review and modernization of the BCS weapon specifications and ordnance documents • Support the review and development of missile system level specifications and ordnance documents • Act as a senior level engineer and mentor to the technical members of the IPT • Support and approve all testing efforts, requalification efforts, production restart, and production efforts associated with the BCS subsystems and commodities\. • Conduct and/or oversee Problem Investigations \(PI’s\) and other technical issues/investigations • Work with TVC components \(e\.g\. Hydraulic Servo\-actuators, Gas Hydraulic Assemblies, Solid Propellant Gas Generators\) and Aerospike components \(E\.g\. Mechanical Initiators, Solid Propellant Gas Generators, Snubbers and Booms\) throughout all phases of the product life\-cycle • Support dynamic test definitions, requirements development, test monitoring, data reduction, and comparison to analysis efforts\. • Provide user documentation and recommendations to data packages to support peer and customer reviews\. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process\. **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\. **Schedule for this Position:** 9x80 every other Friday off **Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 \- $150,765\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\.
