The Position Proposition:
Experienced Bore Operations Foreman is responsible for ensuring work crews begin work on time, have the tools necessary and accurately complete documentation and reports. Provide direct oversight for the crew/employees, inspect work in progress to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications while promoting a safe work environment.
Efficiently manage and coordinate assigned work volumes in directional boring operations. Performs safe and accurate bore locates, locating, and potholing of various types of underground utilities. Maintains high standards in both the quality and quantity of locating work. Works to prevent damage to customer facilities by all reasonable and available means. Ability to make reasonable commitments and insures they are upheld. Represents company in a courteous and professional manner with respect to conduct and appearance with contractors, vendors and customers. Demonstrates respect towards fellow employees on any management or non-management level and honor requests made in relationship to work-related items. Ability to identify and Inform supervisor/foreman when unique construction projects present an elevated danger to customer facilities. Availability to provide work support to other divisions of the company when needed and at supervisor/foreman’s request. Willingness to learn new job skills and tasks when the company deems appropriate. Performs all work functions in accordance with the QUS field policy and procedure as well as the QUS Safety Policies and Procedures.Educational & Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or GED is highly preferred. Minimum five years’ experience working in construction, or the utility distribution industry is required. Utility locate experience required. A valid driver's license with a clean driving history. A Class A CDL is highly preferred, with endorsements. 1 + years’ experience directly supervising employees is preferred. Understand the fundamentals and dangers of working with underground utilities Understands safety zones while working around equipment i.e. backhoes, bore rigs, air compressors, vermeer directional drill equipment, etc. Solid communication skills and reasoning ability. Ability to pass drug tests for pre-employment and continuing random tests and possible physicals as required by various state and/or federal agencies and/or QUS for safe operation of equipment. Possess a fundamental understanding of basic locating concepts and a basic understanding of utility distribution. Ability to read and interpret utility maps and utility records. Possess a fundamental understanding of the One Call System rules and regulations.Primoris Gas Operations is a drug free environment. All positions require participation in federally compliant PHMSA or FMSCA drug and alcohol testing programs. This includes both pre-employment and ongoing random testing. Other duties as assigned.
