Boring Mill Operator
**Job Title: Boring Mill Operator** **Job Description** We are looking for a horizontal boring mill operator to join our team at our Temperance plant. In this role, you will be responsible for operating the boring mill in our facility. You should be familiar with running a manual machine, performing set-ups, making tool changes, and conducting basic mechanical maintenance on the machine. Although specific boring mill experience is not required, ideally, candidates should have around 4 years of relevant experience, though we are open to less. **Responsibilities** + Operate and manage the horizontal boring mill. + Perform manual machine set-ups and tool changes. + Conduct basic mechanical maintenance on the machine. + Handle parts that can weigh up to 60,000 lbs. + Work at least 50 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours if desired. **Essential Skills** + At least 2 years of experience setting up and operating a manual boring mill. + Ability to independently set up and operate a boring mill. + At least 2 years of experience editing G&M/G codes on a CNC machine (Mill or Lathe). + Ability to independently edit basic G&M code. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Journeyman's card. + Experience with tool and die changes. + Basic maintenance experience. **Why Work Here?** + 100% of healthcare paid for once direct. + Option to opt out of healthcare for a higher wage. + Small, family-feel company. + Flexible pay based on experience. + Climate-controlled environment. + Little to no heavy lifting. + Flexible shift times. + Optional overtime. **Work Environment** You will be working in a bright and clean facility that is climate-controlled in both winter and summer. The standard shift is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential work until 5:30 pm. The shift start time is flexible if needed, allowing for earlier or later start times. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Temperance, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
