Quality, reliability, and service are the key drivers that enable Airgas to grow with organizations who depend on dry ice and cold shipping supplies.JOB SUMMARY: To provide the primary maintenance and repair of insulated, polyethylene dry ice containers, as well as management of repair related supplies. Additionally, this position will assess the condition of dry ice containers and make the determination if to recycle or destroy of these units. Day to day expectancy is basic welding repair, painting, grinding and operating forklifts. All training will be provided by the company.
Typical shift will be Mon.-Fri. 8AM-5PM. Shift changes may be expected based of business needs.
Pay starts at $22 hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installation of polyethylene lithographs on dry ice containers from time-to-time.
Once training is complete, understanding and capable of executing lithographic applications, plastic (polyethylene) welding applications, grinding, sanding, and all related container repair techniques & container support replacement(s).
Understands and complies with all safety and quality policies and procedures.
Ability to operate forklift.
Capable of using scanners to scan shipments in and out of warehouse.

One (1) year experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred
Able to read and write.
Basic computer skills.
Forklift experience preferred
Able to understand and follow the direction of supervisors.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Language Skills:
Effective verbal communication and ability to read and interpret documents such as customer orders, emails exchanged, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of the Company.

This position is predominantly in the warehouse and is an unconditioned workspace (i.e. hot in summer, cold in winter). Hazards require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) (i.e. hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety boots). Dry ice is extremely cold, and therefore requires that gloves be worn if directly handling dry ice. The noise level in the warehouse is usually loud. To ensure safety of our associates, PPE will be provided but not limited to:
Hardhat, safety glasses and hearing protection.
Steel toe boots must be worn on the first day of employment.
