Job Title -            Box Truck Driver                 

Pay Rate –       $20-$22 /h (based on experience.

Location:    Chambersburg Pennsylvania 17201
Shift:               1st shift hours. Typically around 6am start time.
Overtime:       Occasional overtime but mostly 40 hour work weeks


3 most important things client needs this person to have
-Class C License and Clean driving record
-Ability to lift heavy items
-At least 1 year experience driving a 26 ft Box Truck in a professional setting or a large commercial vehicle (dump truck, garbage truck etc)

Responsibilities: Boxes are pre-loaded but need to be hooked up to the trailer at the beginning of each shift. Out of the work week drivers are driving roughly 60% of the time On a daily basis driver may drive anywhere between 100 to 400 miles, with up to 12 stops Upon arrival to the jobsite for delivery driver helpers are to exit the vehicle and be the spotter for parking. One may not always be able to get into the driveway and therefore may have to walk the product up to 100 yards to reach the house. Drivers and any helpers are responsible for unloading the trucks upon parking Stairs can weigh between 180-480 lbs Rails weigh about 40 lbs on average Cabinets can weigh between 30-210 lbs Employees are expected at times to lift up to 75 lbs on their own, any material that is heavier in weight can be loaded with the help of a co-worker Stairs, rails, and ultimate tread get delivered into the house Cabinets and built-ins get delivered to the respective rooms of the house, which may require drivers to carry this product up to 3 flights of stairs Secure any and all returns in the box before departure Maintain accurate records and logs, including delivery pictures Trucks are to be cleaned and maintained at the end of every shift Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age Must have a valid driver's license Clean driving record, at least 3 years prior DOT Certification Two or more years of delivery experience with a box truck (preferred) Excellent communication skills Good physical condition with no lifting restraints or limitations Ability to work in a self-managed environment Conscientious, hardworking, team player, and detail oriented Positive attitude and respect for others Consistent respect for appropriate attendance and punctuality Appreciation for a respectful work environment
