Brake Press Operator
**Job Title: Brake Press Operator** **Job Description** The Brake Press Operator will primarily be involved with the setup and operation of a CNC brake press for metal fabrication. General production workers will operate a press brake machine to form metal to be ready to be stamped. This role requires standing at the machine for the entire shift, pressing buttons, and feeding sheets of metal into the press. **Responsibilities** + Operate a press brake machine to form metal. + Setup and operate a CNC brake press for metal fabrication. + Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications and blueprints using check fixtures and other measuring devices. + Understand and apply metal fabrication processes and concepts. + Setup metal fabrication machinery to produce '0 defect' parts. + Accurately complete work orders with correct quantities of good and defective parts. + Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel. **Essential Skills** + 6+ months experience as a press brake operator in a manufacturing facility. + Knowledge and hands-on operation of CNC brake press. + Understanding of metal fabrication process and concepts. + Experience using a brake press. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Candidates with experience in a metals shop preferred but not required. **Why Work Here?** Candidates will receive a dollar raise once permanent. Steel toes, jeans, and T-shirt required. The company has about 35-40 employees in the shop. Work hours are Monday - Thursday: 6am - 2:30pm and Friday: 6am - Noon. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
