**Job Title: Brake Press Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator with experience using manual brake presses. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of applicable experience and will be familiar with shop drawings, shop math, measuring instruments, hand tools, and material handling equipment. The role involves setting up and operating all press shop equipment and ensuring that all operations meet company standards and product specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Work off of job sheets to fabricate parts for welding and assembly departments.
+ Utilize a manual brake press to bend sheet metal for manufacturing purposes.
+ Ensure bend tolerances are within company standards and meet product specifications.
+ Make recommendations to improve processes and reduce bottlenecks in the press shop.
+ Assist with the distribution of work assignments to shop personnel.
+ Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working area, observing all company rules and regulations including safety protocols, use of protective equipment, and quality of work.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years of experience with manual brake presses.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
+ Proficiency in shop math and using measuring instruments.
+ Experience with material handling equipment.
+ Knowledgeable of machine capacities and setup of press shop equipment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Machine operating.
+ Tape measure and micrometre use.
+ Experience with inspection and blueprint reading.
+ Experience in mechanical assembly and fixture setup.
+ Must be fully mobile with complete use of both arms and legs.
+ Capable of standing for prolonged periods and lifting objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
+ Good visual ability.

**Work Environment**
The position is for the 1st shift, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime available. The work environment is a clean manufacturing setting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Wales, Pennsylvania.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
