About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player to join our team in our Mount St John branch. Key responsibilities include:

Assist customers with trade counter and phone sales enquiries and follow up with quotes, pricing and product enquiries in a timely mannerContribute to the customer service team by assisting other sales staff and counter salesAccurately enter cash sales, invoices, purchase orders, transfers and picking slips into the computer system in a timely mannerArrange credits for incorrect pricing and returned goods at point of sale; identify reason for credit and rectify problems to eliminate future creditsAssist with periodic stock checks to ensure shrinkage is kept within company KPI'sEnsuring sufficient levels of stock are available and advise purchasing department of stock requirementsBecome familiar with and to have strong working knowledge of our hose management program (HMP)Picking, packing and despatching of goodsReceiving, unpacking and storage of goods in accordance with appropriate proceduresAssist with the maintenance and presentation of the showroom and warehouse and to ensure it is kept clean, tidy and stocked in accordance with Company guidelinesHose and fittings assembly on new hydraulic and industrial hosesDelivering consistent and high-quality service to our customers

This is a hands-on role that will also require physical manual handling and heavy lifting for the purposes of preparing customer orders for dispatch as well as receipting and arranging storage of goods in accordance with appropriate procedures.

About you – Skills and experience: 

Exceptional customer service focus, communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in the Industrial Hose and Hydraulics or similar background (preferred)knowledge in a fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detail and solid organisation skillsAble to lift heavy bulky items to handle stock as well as picking and packing. Productive and willing team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.Good computer skillsCurrent driver’s license and own reliable transport
