**This Direct Hire Position is being recruited by Adecco Staffing for one of our Houston, TX clients.** **Qualifications** Branch Manager (Air Freight / Hazmat) Job description + Oversee all operations and activities of the branch + Develop a successful sales strategy and engage with customers effectively / Daily Sales meetings + Develop and implement strategies to achieve branch goals and targets + Lead and motivate a team of employees to ensure high performance and productivity + Monitor and manage branch budget, expenses, and profit loss?? Identify business development opportunities and implement strategies to drive growth + Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders, airlines + Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations (DOT/IATA//TSA/PHMSA) + Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency + Provide regular reports and updates to senior management + Assist in Opening the US office for international business. + Evaluating new customer potential + Working with TSA to obtain the IAC Certification for Shipping Airfreight. + Dealing with security / TSA and Customs officials + Pricing and File handling for project shipments + Create and negotiate accounts with airlines and trucker's requirements Requirements: + Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a similar industry (minimum five years) + Strong business development skills with a track record of achieving sales targets + Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines + Strategic thinking and planning abilities to drive the success of the branch + Strong supervisory skills with the ability to effectively manage a team + Proficient in financial analysis and managing profit loss + Ability to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + IATA/DOT Hazmat certified (preferred) + Health and Safety knowledge Important notice: Candidates needing prior Airfreight experience will be automatically accepted. + NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
