Position Overview

Summary:  The CLS Branch Manager is responsible for managing the growth and profitability of a branch through operational efficiency and financial reporting.  The role involves providing leadership for a positive work environment, fostering employee development, ensuring safety, delivering client support, overseeing building maintenance, fleet and equipment management, and facilitating branch expansion.

Job Duties

The CLS Branch Manager is an exempt, full-time employee position. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Interview, hire, and terminate employees. Oversee, plan, assign, and direct work. Appraise performance. Reward and discipline employees. Address complaints and resolve problems. Respond appropriately in emergency situations.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions*):

Produce and manage financial reports to ensure comprehensive oversight and strategic decision-making. * Optimize resource allocation and operational processes to enhance profitability and maintain cost control measures. * Manage and facilitate scheduling and planning work assignments in alignment with the annual sales strategy, identifying equipment and labor needs to meet goals. * Lead and coach team members effectively to promote growth and a positive work environment.* Foster employee growth and development through coaching, training, and goal setting, while also ensuring clear task expectations and providing comprehensive safety training. . Qualifications

What We’re Seeking: 

Love of the outdoors  Direct supervisory grounds maintenance experience with strong history of sales and account management performance  Knowledge of best management practices and plant materials for landscape horticulture  Preferred: turf, weed, tree and shrub ID and pathology knowledge  Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire    Valid driver’s license  Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law Required:  High school diploma or equivalent. Required:  Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of related industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required:  Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer or software programs necessary to complete job duties. Required:  Driver’s license. Required:  Ability to acquire applicable licenses as necessary per state requirements. Required:  Ability to complete required safety courses upon hire. Required:  Ability to operate power equipment. Preferred:  Fluency in Spanish is beneficial.  Additional Information
