About The Role SUMMARY: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Branch Manager to lead our team at a top-rated community bank, recognized as the "Best Bank" for the past 7 years. This role combines leadership and sales responsibilities, where the ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure exceptional customer service. The Branch Manager will also drive sales initiatives, develop relationships within the community, and meet or exceed branch financial goals. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures through training, personal example, and work ethics that all office staff maintain a professional, courteous demeanor and always provide customer service of the highest quality. Works with the Customer Service Manager to build a positive, enthusiastic team. Communication skills of every type, i.e., email, voice messages, person to person are essential. Joins and participates in service clubs and civic organizations. Takes part in activities which enhances the Bank's image. Makes calls on prospective and existing customers of the bank to develop deposit and loan relationships at the branch. Prioritizes the need to increase deposits for the branch. Works with the Customer Service Manager to build a strong team within the branch. Develops a plan to cross-train the staff to ensure continuity of service during absence of co-workers. Oversees all hiring and performance review activities within the branch using the guidelines set by Human Resources. Maintains coverage for the branch in conjunction with the CSM during those times of short staff. Must be able to coordinate and communicate well with the team. Operates as the chief planner for the branch. Administers the branch expenses. Assists in the establishment and implementation of branch goals in accordance with the bank goals. Helps the team learn to balance the delivery of customer service and protecting the bank’s interest. Additional Responsibilities: Participate in Community Service and Bank-sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of CCB. Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy, and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel). Complete required bank and OnCourse training courses within assigned time frame(s). All employees are accountable for compliance with applicable laws and regulations when performing their job duties. Represent in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs. Regular and predictable attendance to accomplish assigned job duties. Additional duties as requested or assigned. About You QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred 3-5 years of experience in Banking. Preferred 3-5 years of management. High school diploma or equivalent KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY: Ability to remain organized and use effective time management skills, Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Must possess strong communication skills – written and verbal Willingness to be involved in the community, which will include time after normal working hours Basic computer skills with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and general computer applications. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
