Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Branch Manager in our Columbia, MO location. This location services Residential and Commercial-Mechanical Plumbing, HVAC, MRO Facility Supplies, Tool and Safety products in addition to Appliances, Lighting, and Cabinetry from the attached Kitchen, Bath and Lighting Showroom. This position leads the local sales and market development and the branch operations of a 40,000 sq ft facility with counter, inside sales, showroom and warehouse associates. The successful candidate will establish relationships with existing and prospective Plumbing, HVAC, and Mechanical Contractors, Home Builders, and General Contractors to grow new market share while positioning our teams to be The Best Local Supply House with passion to deliver the best wholesale and retail experience. The successful candidate will collaborate with local Outside Sales Representatives, Area Sales Managers, and other Area leaders to deliver results. The Columbia-Jefferson City-Moberly area is home to nearly 500,000 people. Columbia is the proud home of the University of Missouri Tigers and is the fastest growing municipality in Missouri. This branch location, just over an hour from Lake of the Ozarks, has all the infrastructure in place to compete for over 125 Million Dollars in annual market demand. Ferguson recently added HVAC to this location to aid expansion and is supported daily by logistics and operations from the St. Louis and Regional Distribution Centers. Come make your name in this market! **Position Details** + Reports to General Manager + Direct oversight of 10 to 12 associates + Must reside in or near the Columbia area **Responsibilities** + Provide leadership for the organization’s customer-facing associates and branch functions + Develop a team with focus on customer service, policy and strategy implementation + Run the overall operation of a branch location including hiring, coaching, and scheduling of employees to ensure efficient and quality branch operations + Maintain inventories at adequate levels, promote sales, and maintain the appearance of the branch + Build and maintain an environment of engagement by listening to feedback from leaders, associates, and customers and implementing solutions to solve problems + Analyze store data and identify areas of opportunity, and implement solutions to continuously improve the overall performance of the location + Performs all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations and procedures **Qualifications** + 3-5+ years leadership/management experience is preferred + Prior industry experience is strongly preferred + Ability to lead and empower individuals and teams + Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and effectively lead through stressful situations + Proven track record to use data and metrics to implement effective solutions + Demonstrated success in problem solving and delivering results + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) At Ferguson, we care for each other.
