The hiring range for this opportunity is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour along with incentive opportunities, creating a competitive total compensation package based on our pay scale, and may be modified by location and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY- Branch Operations Specialist I

The Branch Operations Specialist is responsible for completing a range of centralized processes which may include: IRA and HSA transaction processing; Centralized Cash Balancing for all Tellers; Foreign item transaction processing; Documentary Collections for Treasury Management clients; Customer account research; Safe Deposit Box payment processing; Customer fee reversals; Official Checks, and Safe Deposit Box contents.

The Branch Operations Specialist is responsible for completing a range of centralized processes which may include: IRA and HSA transaction processing and reporting; Bank wide Cash Management for all branches and ATM’s; Centralized Cash Balancing for all Tellers; Foreign item transaction processing; Documentary Collections for Treasury Management clients; Review of branch created hold notices to ensure compliance with Regulation CC; Receipt, processing, and payment of Legal requests against customer accounts (i.e. Subpoenas, Levies; Grand Jury); Customer account research; Safe Deposit Box payment processing; SSI/SSA account verifications; Customer fee reversals; Dormant account monitoring and maintenance; Escheatment reporting of all eligible Dormant accounts, Official Checks, and Safe Deposit Box contents.

The Branch Operations Specialist is responsible for completing a range of centralized processes which may include: IRA and HSA transaction processing and reporting; Bank wide Cash Management for all branches and ATM’s; Centralized Cash Balancing for all Tellers; Foreign item transaction processing; Documentary Collections for Treasury Management clients; Review of branch created hold notices to ensure compliance with Regulation CC; Receipt, processing, and payment of Legal requests against customer accounts (i.e. Subpoenas, Levies; Grand Jury); Customer account research; Safe Deposit Box payment processing; SSI/SSA account verifications; Customer fee reversals; Dormant account monitoring and maintenance; Escheatment reporting of all eligible Dormant accounts, Official Checks, and Safe Deposit Box contents.

This role will work closely with the following internal teams: Compliance and Internal Audit through periodic reviews and Policy and Procedure updates; The Bank’s legal team to ensure all Legal requests are handled in accordance with rules and regulations; Treasury Management Sales to help support the onboarding of new Cash Vault and Smart Safe commercial clients. This role may also work with parties outside of the Bank including the State Controller’s Office regarding Escheatment; Wolter’s Kluwer for customer IRA and HSA reporting, and our cash vendors (i.e., Loomis and Brinks) for management of the Bank’s and Commercial Client cash needs.

REQUIREMENTS- Branch Operations Specialist I, II and III

• Ability to work in a team environment with moderate levels of background noise.
• Ability to grasp new concepts
• Understands Debit/Credit function or concept regarding transaction postings.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with both customers and colleagues in a professional and clear manor.
• Ability to follow established Policies and Procedures.
• Ability to communicate with peers in a positive, courteous manner with a genuine concern for resolving problems or concerns.
• Able to move from one task to another quickly and effectively.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision of daily work.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED- Branch Operations Specialist I, II & III

• High school diploma or GED required
• MS Office Suite and Windows based PC Operations.

LEVEL DETERMINATION

•Branch Operations Specialist I: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience within banking / financial services (preferred), specifically within an operational capacity.

•Branch Operations Specialist II: 2+ years of relevant experience within banking / financial services (preferred), specifically within an operational capacity.

•Branch Operations Specialist III: 5 years of relevant experience within banking / financial services (preferred), specifically within an operational capacity.
