Responsibilities include:Set the Vision: Drive adoption and application of our firm-wide content strategy framework by leading a team of content strategists and influencing business partners. The strategy is anchored in audience needs, brand, and business goals. You will collaborate with the Brand Strategy Department Leader and Brand Director in developing this shared vision.Provide Strategic Consultation: Participate in firm-level initiatives by providing expert consultation and oversight, connecting business content priorities, and making independent, strategic decisions to achieve objectives. Communicate regularly with senior leaders to influence proactive content planning, distribution, and results that ladder to brand equity.Lead the Team: Mentor a world-class team of content strategists who execute comprehensive strategies across topics and audiences, in a matrixed partnership with firm business partners and channel marketing managers. Foster growth, shaping the team's focus and responsibilities to meet firm objectives.Advance Content Effectiveness: Continue our practice of leveraging pre/during/post content analytics and measurement at national and market levels (in future state) to improve planning and performance. Our firm content spans a variety of owned channels as well as partnerships in paid and earned distribution.Manage External Partners: Manage relationships with agency partners to ensure alignment with overall brand and content objectives and maximize ROI, overseeing a $3M+ annual content budget.Innovate & Experiment: Drive innovation through test-and-learn methodologies, continually optimizing content performance, and identifying new opportunities to engage with audiences.Ensure Excellence: Maintain the highest standards of quality, clarity, and compliance in all content while pushing creative boundaries using strategic rationale.
Knowledge Requirements:Expertise in content strategy and omni-channel planning, with a strong understanding of how to align content with brand and business goals.Proven experience developing enterprise-wide content strategies, ideally for brands exceeding $10B in value.Deep knowledge of leveraging content to build brand equity and drive revenue growth through strategic initiatives.Strong grasp of traditional and emerging communication channels, with an understanding of how to apply local, regional, and national marketing practices to strengthen brand presence.Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels through exceptional executive presence and communication skills.Experience providing clear, actionable creative direction across owned, paid, earned, and shared channels.Comprehensive understanding building competitive intelligence and an ability to identify opportunities for differentiation.
