Position Summary
The Tyson Foods Brand Design team, which is part of the Enterprise Growth Team, is committed to delivering cohesive, memorable, and premium design experiences. We understand that best-in-class design creates a competitive advantage while also being a business driver that enables growth. As we build the vision for brand design, we are looking for a Brand Design Manager to help shape, define and build the future of Tyson’s legacy brands, including Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Sara Lee, Aidell’s, Ball Park and Wright Brand Bacon.
Your responsibilities will include:
Bring to life the global brand design vision and brand purposeIndependently manage multiple large-scale projects under tight timelinesGuide and manage external agency partners to create break-through and award-winning workInfuse storytelling and brand purpose into designBuild strong collaborative relationships with a diverse range of internal partners across different functions and levelsCo-create thorough and strategic brand design briefs that clearly articulate the scope and deliverables of a projectPartner with packaging production team to ensure accurate design intentHelp design, develop and implement robust brand architecture frameworks that serve to maintain brand consistency and inspire best-in-class designOversee and manage timelines, project deadlines, budgets, invoices and SOWsArt direct and lead complex photoshootsAttend press checks, review and approve proofsDevelop competitive design audits that will be used to inform and educate the brand teamHelp develop and deploy internal design training modules to inform and educate marketers and cross-functional teamsWho you will work with?
You will report to the Head of Global Brand Design and will collaborate with the cross-functional teams to effectively bring brand strategy to life. You will manage projects from conceptualization to design development and finalization and lead our roster of talented brand design agency partners to ensure our projects are delivered to the Tyson standard of excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in design or related field
5+ years of experience as a proven strategic brand design manager
Comprehensive CPG experience
Skills:
Exceptional attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in the creative process from ideation through implementationAbility to prioritize tasks and set realistic expectationsSkilled in developing brand identity, design strategy, and design innovationVersed in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Illustrator, Keynote and PowerPointKnowledge of AI framework, tools and platformsFamiliarity working within established brand guidelines and extensive design toolsComfortable working with ambiguitySelf-starter, thinker and doer. The Brand Design Manager will work onsite at our global headquarters in Springdale, AR. We are seeking a candidate currently located in Northwest Arkansas or someone willing to relocate. Remote work or hybrid options are not available
