This role is for the Brand Manager, Candy Innovation, which will have focus on leading development and execution of the Everyday Candy pipeline across Sour Patch Kids and Swedish Fish brands. This role will be instrumental in delivering our Vision 2030 Ambition for the Candy business. The Brand Manager will be responsible for strategic innovation development across this portfolio with potential to flex into emerging new platforms for the brand. 

*** Role would be a hybrid setting of 2-3 days in our East Hanover, New Jersey office

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the development of brand innovation strategy, in partnership with the Senior Director to develop a multi-year innovation agenda that aligns with the brand growth strategy and financial targets.Delivery & execution of the multi-year innovation agenda from concept to launch; collaborating closely with the cross functional team to ensure flawless execution.Development and validation of conceptsLeadership through innovation stage gate processLeads and collaborates with cross functional team through feasibility, commercialization & launch of the innovationWorks closely with sales, consumer insights & finance to develop new item forecasts and projections that align with our financial hurdles, and mitigate waste potentialDevelops sales facing selling stories and communications in support of innovation sell inPost launch tracking and integration of learnings into pipeline innovation developmentIndependent analysis combined with partnership with consumer insights to develop deep understanding of the consumer, brand, and category dynamics to inform winning, relevant innovation across channels.Partnership with sales & RGM to develop channel and customer level understanding to inform packaging, pricing, placement approach for innovationAbility to work with various agencies to develop consumer centric innovation bundlesOngoing management of the brand 4:2:1 plans (i.e. pipelines)

What extra ingredients you will bring:

5+ years of experience involving Innovation is required.CPG experience preferred.Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree preferredStrong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to thrive in and handle ambiguity & fast paced environment Analytic and creative thinking skillsStrong business acumen and marketing capabilitiesStrong leadership / communication / collaboration skillsDemonstrated track record of sales/marketing/commercialization executionAbility to lead a cross functional teamExperience analyzing syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) preferred

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $114,500 to $157,475; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. (for Band I+ also include… and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program).
