Brand Manager (Food Service)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of Brand Manager reporting to the Marketing Manager Food Services. The positions will be based in Rosebank-Gauteng.

 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

 

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this individual will support the SA McCain business in delivering on key nearer and longer term objectives. Landing integrated brand plans in-year with the cross functional teamDeveloping multi-year Integrated Brand Plans, aligned to the category strategy and growth prioritiesEffectively managing the Brand’s budget, to achieve zero forecast bias, on a quarterly basis

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

Deliver Brand financial & Market Share Objectives by Manage all categories in their entirety (Foodservice  including QSR, Potato; Fries and Specialty Potatoes, Vegetables and Appetisers)

Achieve annual GP through the implementation of brand plans with defined targets, plans to drive targets, innovation and communication plansMonitor brand sales , Shares & recommend coarse correction Product and Portfolio Review as part of IBPAttend and manage status meetings with agencies to ensure that promotions are within timeframe and within budget.

Work co-operatively with category and sales team to ensure operational implementation

Compile marketing plans & Ensure all marketing plans are executed timeously and accuratelyLaunch new products into the marketConduct post campaign analysis and research to establish if objectives were achieved Ensure label requirements are aligned to legislation and product concept as per 5i2P

Develop a comprehensive Brand Plan to achieve the marketing and commercial objectives  and drive Brand Planning & Management

Develop and lead brand lead digital activities aligned to the communication strategy pillars and brand objectivesManage agency relations and spend related to budget and scopeSupport Digital Brand Manager in driving digital activities

 

Execution & Implementation of Consumer Campaigns

Develop and lead brand lead digital activities aligned to the communication strategy pillars and brand objectivesManage agency relations and spend related to budget and scopeSupport Digital Brand Manager in driving digital activities

Track the ROI calculations are conducted to optimize executions and media spend

 

Budget Management

Monthly budget phasing, tracking and managementReconcile and manage media budget Oversee accurate Processing all Purchase Orders and invoices

 

 

Project management/Assist the Marketing Manager in the development of annual and future innovation plans

Engages with key departments, to ensure cross functional alignment with the brand agenda, objectives and targets for the brandDevelop new packaging for new products as and when applicableResearch market to see if proposed new products are viableLaunch new products timeously and enter new segments that provide growth opportunities Post launch reviews and analysis up to 18 months post launch

 

 

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

BCom Marketing Management or related qualificationHonours or Master’s degree will be an advantageMinimum 4– 6 years in a FMCG environment in brand management. Require Minimum three experience at Brand Manager level (FMCG)Previous food experience will be advantageous.
