Brand Manager

The position focuses on developing and articulating the brand's positioning and unique selling propositions, preparing annual brand plans, and setting clear objectives and critical metrics. It involves analyzing market trends, supporting trade marketing and commercial teams, and ensuring consistent brand messaging across all channels. The role also includes working with the product development team to launch new products, conducting post-campaign reviews, and preparing reports for senior management. Additionally, leadingres managing A&P expenditure and assisting with vendor selection and quality communication asset delivery.

 

As the Brand Manager, you will handle:

Brand Strategy Development: Define and articulate the brand’s positioning, differentiation, and unique selling propositions. Prepare the annual Brand Plans in alignment with the Portfolio Lead through leading consumer understanding, category and landscape analysis, and learnings from previous executions. Then, recommend the key big bets for the Myanmar market. Set clear objectives and performance indicators. Marketing and Brand Management:  Analyze the market to identify trends, customer needs, opportunities, risks, and competitive landscape. Be the brand gatekeeper, supporting and coordinating with Trade Marketing and commercial teams to deliver best-in-class activations in the trade. Take ownership of the communication asset development of all new product information (including price, availability, and images) at least 6 weeks before launch where required. Ensure brand messaging and positioning are consistent across all channels. Product Development and Management: Work closely with the product development team to create and launch new products. Post-campaign reviews to ensure tracking of KPls and analysis of performance. Assist with preparing reports and reviews for visiting senior management, including presentations such as formal Business Reviews and annual Brand Plans. Complete commentary for monthly and quarterly reports required by region. Financials: Constant management of A&P expenditure, ensuring that committed expense remains within the approved master budget and in line with brand strategy. Assist Portfolio Lead with vendor selection and assessment, and delivery of quality communication assets.

 

Who are we looking for?

University Degree graduate. Minimum 3 years of working experience in brand management (as brand manager role and above), preferably in the FMCG category. Fluency in English (both written and spoken). Excellent skills with Microsoft Office tools - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Consumer-centric, highly detail-oriented, creative thinker with a great solution orientation. Effective communication and social skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, leading multiple priorities effectively.
