Right now, we are looking for a Brand Manager located in San Antonio, TX, to work hand in hand with our partners at Brown-Forman on Jack Daniels Country Cocktails ("JDCC") and other strategic brands. 

The Pabst and Brown-Forman partnership combines two classic American Companies, backed by iconic brands with over 150 years of American history.  As mainstream beer continues to leak volume, the partnership between Pabst and Brown-Forman is a critical component to Pabst long term growth strategy of expanding in flavored malt beverage (FMB) segments that drive GM growth. 

This position’s purpose is to create future growth led by brand/package innovations, awareness campaigns driven by shopper insights that connect with culture and consumer, distribution expansion in underdeveloped channels and feature/ad activity that drives volume, velocity and display execution.

What You'll Do: 

P&L and budget management responsibility of the brand, owning the performance of the brand holistically. Voice of the culture and consumer for JDCC and other strategic brands. The voice of the brand – the lead on all communication coming from the brand both internally and externally. Lead the SP3 “Strategic Planning” business planning process. Lead and consistently manage brand strategy, programming, identity, and execution. Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver brand relevant marketing platforms and programming that deliver growth year over year. Lead innovation development – ideation, planning and execution through participation on Pabst Innovation Committee. Negotiate and develop brand partnerships and associations as needed. Represent the JDCC brand in key top-to-top retailer and distributor meetings as well as internally with key stakeholders. Collaborate, partner and nurture the relationship with Brown-Forman to ensure alignment and support. Analyze data to define challenges and opportunities for the brand. Demonstrate a deep understanding of the FMB consumer and the ever-changing landscape that this customer traverses…Be the FMB expert. Idea generation and content development across the marketing platforms of the brand. Social marketing content generation and procurement. Brand health stewardship and evaluation.

 

What you'll need: 

Bachelor’s degree required. Requires a minimum of 5+ years-experience leading brand management activities and/or leading a local/grassroots marketing environment. Position requires a deep understanding and experience building beverage brands. Passionate about the brand and its culture…lives and breathes FMB. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to rally and motivate internal and external customers. Creative, divergent thinker, with proven ability to create and execute brilliant ideas that impact performance. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to effectively and proactively manage time and multiple projects with cross-functional teams across the company and our distributor networks. P&L and budget management experience. Media management and buying experience. Strategy and Analytical skills- identify the full story and define implications from analysis and inspiring strategic thinking. Forward thinker, who proactively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions. Manage brand partnerships and build relationships with difference makers. Team oriented player that thrives in a collaborative environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficient in utilizing syndicated sales data (Nielsen/IRI).
