ABOUT THE ROLE
Purpose of the role:
In this role you will be part of the Eastern European Brand Marketing Team at Diageo and report to the Senior Brand Manager Johnnie Walker – Eastern Europe.
You will be acting as the guardian of your assigned brand(s) or category ensuring their continuous development and sustainable growth while shaping their future.
Due to the structural setup of the region, you will be closely working with Distributor Partners across 30+ markets with dedicated professionals and diverse teams both internally and externally.
Drive Recruitment/Re-recruitment – both from a customer and consumer perspective
Secure performance in all commercial elements of the brands, building strong relationships with the commercial teams on the ground to deliver above and beyond the AOP
Build brand love – making these brands the most talked about across the market. You will work with the Global Brand Teams, multiple agencies, cross-functional teams and partners to deliver on our salience and brand love objectives
Ensure Physical Availability - the ability to see, find and trigger associated memories in a buying context, all resulting in success at the point of purchase
Ensure Mental availability – the ability to plan and implement right mix of all media elements and ensuring that these plans have right sufficiency
Top Accountabilities
Functional:
Adapt global long-term brand strategy with the focus on Eastern European consumer, customer, and shoppers needs and bring strategy to life engaging variety of cross-functional teams of Diageo, Distributor, Partners, and agencies.
Lead globally devised strategies at the local level into brilliantly driven plans that consistently beat the competition and gain share.
Establish and nurture trustworthy relationships with distributor partners, actively involving them in aligning with the brand's ambitions and drivers for consistent and sustained success. Work with cross-agency teams and foster new partnerships in developing the brand’s communication approach and execution in an omnichannel environment (on, off & 3rd space)
Find, own and build the role the brand plays in culture, working collaboratively with members of the Culture & Entertainment function.
Translates strategies into winning plans and build strong relationships with partner teams to deliver brilliant integrated execution of the aligned marketing plan to consistently build a purposeful brand, win over competition and gain market share.
Leverage insights, consumer conversations, performance analyses and react accordingly to deliver consistent share and brand strength growth.
Identify the role the brand plays in culture, always seek for relevant activations/partnership and events working closely with members of the Culture & Entertainment team and agencies
Jointly own the P&L for the brands across the market. Understand and respond to the drivers of your brand performance, working in partnership with the commercial teams to deliver the annual operating plan
Understand and manage pricing & promo strategy, margin mix and volume drivers, working closely with revenue and category growth team.
Plan, own, and manage the annual marketing budget on the assigned brand(s) to ensure the delivery of desired return on investment and critical metric.
Shape the brand to thrive in Media with the focus on developing long-term digital strategy & social media plans, looking for appearing disruptive media instruments, working in close collaboration with Media team and agencies.

ABOUT YOU
3+ years of relevant marketing experience
Existing capability to build genuine relationships built on mutual trust & respect
Successful management of senior partners, resulting in strong and positive outcomes
Holistic skills across various marketing growth drivers as well as a track record of delivering transformational business results
Comfort with dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and matrixed environment
Ability to hold strong ownership over strategy execution and personal accountability for great performance
A history of working across media, digital, experiential, PR, culture
Demonstrated brilliant execution to high standards across various pillars of brand building
Deep personal accountability for great performance
