Join us for the opportunity to influence how Amazon Music engages fans, artists, and creators on a global scale. Amazon Music is hiring a Brand Manager to join our Artist Merchandise team. The Amazon Music Merchandise team is responsible for building a destination of official music merchandise and connecting fans and artists through merch. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day brand development of our strategic artist partners, delivering full-service coordination across creative services, apparel and accessory production, ecommerce and pop-up/events. This includes day to day management of event collection launches that are in line with the brand vision, drive revenue to the bottom line, and build great artist partnerships. The successful candidate should have experience pitching and managing artist and artist teams, developing business plans for artist retail merchandise collections, focus on revenue margin and driving significant top and bottom-line results, and managing multiple responsibilities, within an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment. Key job responsibilities • Responsible for leading brand and merchandise development for a segment of artists across Tour, Retail, and Direct to Consumer. • Act as the ‘business owner’ for assigned artists, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact your business (this entails owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the business, along with responsibility for driving merchandise development achieve business objectives) • Develop the brand's mission and strategy, manage brand standards and usage guidelines, coordinate product development and execution, advocate e-commerce opportunities. • Build exceptional management relationships through professional communication & disruptive and creative ideas that revolutionize artist brand and merch collections. • Invent new ways to connect artists and their fans with product • Have a thorough understanding of the fashion and music industry, seasonality and business trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments • Be the central owner that keeps cross-functional teams working together effectively throughout the product development lifecycle (artist & label relations, creative, production, marketing online and onsite execution) • Have an exceptional sense of the competitive artist merch ecosystem, understand technical production strategy, knowledgeable of print techniques and blank assortments • Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets • Overseeing special projects as necessary, including pop up shops, special events, etc. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Culver City, CA, USA | New York, NY, USA Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience Preferred Qualifications - •3 years of relevant senior level experience in merchandise brand management, third party negotiations, vendor management, pricing/ promotion with a proven track record of delivering results - • 3+ years’ experience working with artist and label management, whether in house or collaboratively - • Relevant experience working in an apparel, fashion, or merch business - • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration - • Bachelors required Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
