Responsibilities:
Strategy, action plan & operation: Support to develop, optimize, and take the lead to implement brand protection strategies, priorities, and action plan to prevent counterfeit, infringement, and unauthorized use of P&G brand assets.Collaboration and relationship management: Collaborate with internal partners, such as Brand Management, Sales, Product supply etc., to ensure brand protection measures are integrated into business processes and initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with external partners, industry associations, and law enforcement agencies to enhance brand protection efforts.Investigation and enforcement: implement and operationalize a program that systematically support and manage investigations into suspected counterfeit or unauthorized activities, working closely with internal teams and external investigative agencies. Take necessary enforcement actions, including cease and desist notices, litigation, and collaboration with law enforcement to mitigate brand risks.Monitoring and reporting: Implement monitoring systems and tools to detect and track brand infringements online and offline. Prepare regular reports on brand protection activities, including metrics, key findings, and recommendations for improvement.Budget Management: oversee budget management related to brand protection activities, including efficient allocation of resources, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring adherence to budgetary limits, all with the goal of improving the program's impact while maintaining financial responsibility.Stewardship and Compliance: Design, implement and improve the system to prevent, detect and mitigate any stewardship/compliance issue/concern to ensure the program’s integrity. Have strong stewardship and compliance attitude and make principle-based decisions.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, trade, law, intellectual property, or a related field. Chinese bar admission is a plus.About 10 years proven experience in brand protection, intellectual property management, or related roles (either in brand protection firm or a mix of private practice and corporate experience). Experience in the consumer products industry is desired, but equivalent experience in comparable or related industries will be considered.Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to manage cross-functional teams and get results. The candidate must have strong project management, operation, execution, data analysis and team management knowledge and skills.Strong knowledge of intellectual property laws, regulations, and enforcement procedures. Experience in conducting investigations and working with law enforcement agencies is preferred. Familiarity with digital brand protection tools and technologies is an advantage.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound and principle-based decision.Ability to work under pressure with tight timelines, maintaining a result driven approach.
