The Brand Specialist supports Hackensack Meridian Health's creative and marketing initiatives across the network, and in every aspect of our external and internal promotion of HMH. Under the direction of the Brand Strategist and Marketing Strategist, this position will consistently evaluate where we are as a brand, and where we  want to be in the future. The role requires a strong balance between strategic planning and creative execution. The ideal candidate will be able to connect the dots between human behavior, creative development, and business strategy. This includes, assisting in developing and implementing strategies to strengthen the HMH reputation of key network programs and programs, including but not limited the support of such departments as Culture, DEI, Human Resources, the Office of the CEO, and more. This  position writes and edits marketing communication materials across distribution channels; supports marketing efforts through market research, campaigns and events; and  communicates and implements HMH branding strategy. The role will also be the point person for all incoming creative brief submissions for internally produced pieces. The Brand Specialist will review, prioritize, and assign such projects in our project management dashboard.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Brand Specialist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

Implement marketing strategies aligned with business goals.Assists with development of creative briefs and advertising/collateral concepts for network initiatives.Assists with coordination of internal requests for brand and design assistance, including the triage of all graphic design  requests through the project management system.Analyze metrics.Forecast and research market trends.Identify new opportunities.Generate innovative ideas to promote our brand.Address advertising needs.Work closely with Marketing, Creative, Communications, Digital and PR teams to maintain the HMH  brand position and ensure it's properly reflected in each of these channels.Understand HMH's marketing campaign hierarchy, message and audience crossover, and ensure we  are always telling a unified, cohesive story across platforms and campaigns.Ensure brand consistency through all marketing channels.Use customer feedback to ensure client satisfaction.Liaise with internal teams and ensure brand consistency.Excellent knowledge of marketing fundamentals.Good leadership, team player and interpersonal skills.Ability to work with and manage external partners.Other duties and/or projects as assigned.Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field - Marketing, Advertising, Communications or  Business.  Minimum 1 year of experience in a brand or marketing position Strong grammar skills are non-negotiable. Proven ability to understand business issues.   Excellent communicator: well-spoken with excellent writing skills.  Independent self-starter with a sense of urgency and a strong desire to consistently advance the goals  of the organization.  Strong multiple project management skills with an affinity for consistently producing high-quality work.  Customer focused with a passion for customer service.   Experience evaluating and assessing internal and external client needs and market needs, and  transforming them into actionable marketing plans/campaigns.  Excellent knowledge of marketing fundamentals.  Team player and interpersonal skills.  Ability to work with and manage external partners

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: 

Prior healthcare experience
