The Residence Inn Virginia Beach Town Center, opened  in early 2019, is the newest and roomiest addition to the Town Center market.  The hotel features 120 all-suite rooms, meeting space, indoor pool, and an outdoor patio with grills and a fire pit.  Conveniently located in Virginia Beach’s Central Business District, and just steps from Town Center, the Residence Inn is surrounded by a vibrant and growing business community in the heart of Virginia’s largest city.   JOB SUMMARY   The Residence Inn Virginia Beach Town Center is seeking warm and friendly service-oriented, FULL TIME Breakfast Attendant. The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving the daily complimentary breakfast buffet. The Breakfast Attendant will greet each guest in a warm and friendly manner at breakfast and ensure that guests are 100% satisfied. Cleaning to include: wiping tables down, vacuuming, dishes, sweeping, mopping etc. The Breakfast Attendant will prepare the daily order and conduct monthly inventory.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Providing friendly, personalized service to all guests. Setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar with an attractive abundant-looking, organized, clean and standardized presentation. Taking inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day. Ordering or purchasing food supplies Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices from concentrates. Stocking coffee, juice and milk machines or dispensers. Setting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other paper products. Setting out/arranging cold food such as pastries and cereal for self-service. Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated Wiping up spills. Removing trash. Restocking self-service food and supplies as needed . Washing serving equipment and returning it to storage Returning reusable food supplies to storage. Listening and responding to guests’ requests or concerns   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Previous hotel, guest service and/or serving experience The hospitality industry requires that employees present a professional image at all times. This includes providing courteous and attentive customer service. Employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Uniform standards will be explained during orientation. This industry functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day. Regular attendance in accordance with company standards is essential for success in this position.   Candidates must be able to stand/walk for a full shift (6+ hours).  The position requires lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping and reaching overhead.   EOE AA/Veterans/Disabled
