Job Description

Position Summary
The Breakfast Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality food standards. This role requires attention to detail, ensuring that breakfast items are prepared efficiently, consistently, and presented attractively. The Breakfast Cook will work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. This position reports to the Restaurant Manager.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities 
•    Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes including eggs, pancakes, bacon, and other menu items according to recipes and guest preferences
•    Ensure food is cooked to order and served at the correct temperature and portion size
•    Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all health and safety guidelines
•    Assist in managing inventory, including ordering and receiving breakfast ingredients and supplies
•    Work efficiently to meet customer demand while adhering to food quality and presentation standards
•    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience
•    High School diploma or equivalent
•    Two years of food preparation experience
•    Culinary degree or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•    Understanding of basic cooking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment
•    Knowledge of company policies and procedures
•    Understanding on how to assist customers and meet their needs effectively
•    Strong multitasking and time-management skills to ensure timely preparation and service
•    Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
•    Ability to work under pressure, especially during busy morning hours, while maintaining attention to detail and quality

Work Environment & Physical Demands
•    Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, smell, taste, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time 
•    Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces  
•    Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 ) lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
