Breast Center Operations Manager

At Christiana Care, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Breast Center Operations Manager. This is a unique opportunity to lead and manage the business operations of our world-class Breast Center at the Helen F. Graham Center in Newark, DE. Equivalent experience will be considered in addition to educational requirements.

In this leadership role you will play a vital role in ensuring the flawless operation of all areas within the Center. You will have direct management responsibility for a dedicated team, including breast imaging technologists, tech assistants, physician access coordinators, medical assistants, and schedulers. Collaboration and coordination with physicians, nurses, clerical staff, and other ancillary departments will be crucial to the success of the center.

Responsibilities:Take charge of the day-to-day operations of the Breast Center Imaging, ensuring exceptional patient care services.Manage and lead a team of breast imaging technologists, tech assistants, physician access coordinators, medical assistants, and schedulers.Collaborate with the In-Hospital and Outpatient Operations Managers to develop and implement systemwide Imaging policies and procedures.Work closely with the Imaging Services management team, Vice President of Imaging Services, and Radiology Department Chairman to ensure the delivery of safe and efficient patient care services.Determine staffing requirements and allocate resources effectively to provide full service coverage.Regularly review staffing schedules and monitor productivity to optimize operational efficiency.

Requirements:ARRT Radiologic Technologist Certification is required.Certification in Mammography is preferred.A Bachelor's Degree in management or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.Three to five years of proven related management/supervisory experience is required.Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage staff in a high-volume Imaging Department.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Knowledge of department and hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines.Familiarity with State of Delaware Radiation Safety requirements and Mammography Standards Quality Act.Proficiency in the clinical operations of a PACS system.CPR Certification is required.
