Summary
Position Highlights:
The breast imaging liaison will assist in our screening mammography initiative to increase our volume of screening mammography patients. Serves as the communication link between the Radiologists and the patient. They will work closely with the breast imaging quality control tech/navigator, and the breast imaging supervisor to ensure that the screening patients move through our department and their appointments efficiently.
Responsible for the MagView risk assessment program and assist the patients in completing the questions. Ensures that screening patients with a BiRads 0 are followed up and scheduled for their follow up examinations.
Responsibilities:
Assist and/or facilitate the risk assessment modules for the screening patients.
Assist patients when necessary, with their retrieval of prior imaging examinations.
Follow up all Birads 0 screening mammogram patients via telephone.
Schedules patients for any follow up diagnostic examinations
Credentials and Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED At least 2 years in a healthcare setting, either hospital or outpatient based. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook for email.Preferred:
Associate degree – Field of Study Healthcare Administration or similar field
