**Responsibilities**
The Robert and Monica Jacoby Center for Breast Health at the Mayo Clinic Florida is an integrated multidisciplinary practice that includes Radiology, Breast Medicine, Breast Surgery, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Plastic Surgery, Integrative Medicine (nutrition, acupuncture), and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is expanding their complement of breast medicine physicians. We are conducting a search for a full-time Medicine physician who is interested in building a clinical and research career in Breast Medicine. The ideal candidate would have current knowledge or training in Breast Medicine or be willing to be trained in the specialty.
At the Mayo Clinic, Breast Medicine partner with a multidisciplinary team including nurse navigators to provide education and coordination of care of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients and those patients with abnormal breast findings. Medicine providers also care for patients who are at high risk of breast cancer and create personalized breast cancer prevention strategies that include advanced breast imaging recommendations, lifestyle intervention and modification strategies, and prevention medication options. Finally, the Breast Medicine physicians care for breast cancer survivors alongside Advanced Practice Providers through our integrated breast cancer survivorship program.
**Qualifications**
The ideal candidate for this position is a board-certified/board-eligible physician trained in internal medicine or family medicine who has an interest in caring for breast patients (those at risk for cancer, with cancer, and after cancer treatment) and has interest in engaging in research opportunities. The position includes participation in education efforts for the ACGME-accredited internal medicine residents and hematology/oncology fellows.
