Requires great communication skills, a positive attitude and being a TEAM PLAYER in a fast-paced clinic environment. Some of the job duties include: Interprets orders for requested exams, produces diagnostic breast and axillary ultrasound images, positions and transfers patients. Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis, selects and operates equipment as directed. Uses electronic imaging equipment to obtain high quality ultrasound images. Provides patient protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Assists dedicated breast radiologists with diagnostic breast ultrasound and breast interventional procedures. Responsible for delegated areas of authority in the performance of routine and special imaging techniques. Participate in all aspects of patient care in the breast center. Ideal candidate will have flexibility in covering shifts at the breast center. . Must be able to proficiently operate and use ultrasound equipment, the computerized radiology information system, the electronic medical record, and office equipment. Assists within all areas of the Breast Center as needed. Recommends the procurement and necessity of maintenance of equipment. Maintains current CPR certification and assists in performing first aid, as necessary. Remains current with credentialing agency required continuing education. Qualifications: Education: Must have a minimum of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography with registry in at least one advanced modality. Or satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training and has a current ARRT Registry with the advanced US degree and in Compliance with Continuing Education.
