We are hiring a Bridge CADD Leader to support our Pittsburgh based bridge team.  The selected candidate will have the option to work remote. As a part of our Pittsburgh Bridge Practice, the Bridge CADD Leader performs CADD Designs for local and national projects, performs CADD oversight on local and national projects, and assists in the department’s CADD team growth/adherence to department CADD standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and/or facilitate the preparation of engineering drawings for preliminary and final plan sets on small and large scale projects Works closely with drafting and engineering teams to ensure coordinated designs Apply standard drafting/design principles and theories to complete assignments Use technical manuals to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable standards primarily for Pennsylvania clients  Creates/modified final drawings and models based on input from the Engineer Checks dimensions of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project Utilizes knowledge of various engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings and models Think critically to understand how parts fit together Able to recognize and point out problems or clashes and propose potential solutions Able to manage time to accomplish tasks efficiently Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with various disciplines to obtain needed information to keep progress Follows established quality processes Mentors department entry level technicians/designers Provides department structure specific CADD training/guidance Works closely with CADD Services team to improve current CADD workflows and efficiency tools and propose potential improvements for implementation Evaluate project CADD hours versus hour estimates Promote CADD work sharing

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

15+ years of CADD design experience within Transportation Bridge Engineering Proficient in MicroStation, Open Bridge, Open Roads and Microsoft Office 365 Proficient in structural steel detailing Proficient in reinforcing bar detailing Knowledge of ALLPLAN is a plus Knowledge of Autodesk Revit is a plus

COMPENSATION 

The approximate compensation range for this position is $85,612 to $134,846.  This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.  Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
