Your Key Responsibilities

Act as structural lead and designer for small and medium-sized engineering assignments, with the intent to develop skills towards a future discipline lead/project manager role for larger projects Attend site visits related to pre-design information gathering, construction and postconstruction review Coordinate work with other disciplines including highway/road, electrical, drainage and environmental planning Analysis and evaluation of appropriate design solutions and design of transportation structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls and foundation Direct CAD team for drawing preparation and review deliverables before submission to the client Prepare and review technical reports, tender documents and cost estimate Provide tender evaluations and/or construction engineering services Work within assigned project budgets and schedules Mentor junior staff concerning project work

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Strong computer skills, including experience with CAD and SAP2000, CSiBridge, SFRAME Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong, interpersonal and presentation skills Able to work in a team environment and excel in both bridge and multi-disciplined projects Organized and detail-oriented Ability to mentor the technical development of others Works well with minimal direct supervision Exercises independent judgment Interest in working both in the office and the field environment Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

Education and Experience

B.ASc. or B.Eng. in Civil/Structural Engineering, with strong interest and experience in structures, particularly bridges
P.Eng. status and minimum 6 years of proven experience in design using Canadian codes and design standards

Additional Information Salary Range(s): Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s): Location Description: Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby) Min Pay Range: Lower Mainland $91,800 Max Pay Range: Lower Mainland $133,100 Note: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
