Overview TRC is seeking a highly motivated Bridge Engineer for our growing transportation practice in Pennsylvania. The position will be a hybrid of in-office and can work from various locations across the US on the project needs. In office work can occur from our offices in Mechanicsburg, PA or Pittsburgh, PA with other locations possible. The ideal candidate will have experience working on PennDOT bridge projects, be a team player, and be enthusiastic in working with other engineers, project managers, and other technical staff assisting with planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects, such as the inspection, load rating and design of new bridges and bridges to be rehabilitated. Responsibilities Participates in the design of new bridges as well as bridges to be rehabilitated. Participate in the production of project plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates. Be involved in all project aspects including inspection/load-rating/design, site/field visits during construction, shop drawing review, and be able to work independently. Efficiently produce quality deliverables while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent projects. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees. Qualifications BS or MS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. 3 or more years of Bridge Design, Bridge Rehabilitation Design, Inspection, and Load Rating experience. (Pennsylvania Preferred) Engineer In Training certification (F.E.) is preferred or obtainable within one year. Experience working with PennDOT's ABLRFD, BAR 7, BOX 5, BPLRFD, BXLRFD, PS3, PSLRFD, and STLRFD programs. Certified Bridge Safety Inspector is a plus. Experience using computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents. Working knowledge of Microstation. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be flexible, well organized, accountable and dependable. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
