Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to be based in New York, NY.

We take on the most complex challenges and pioneer innovative, iconic solutions that push the limits of what’s possible – the world’s longest cable-stayed bridge, record-breaking sports events, the largest greenfield port development megaproject, life-sustaining and disaster recovery programs, and the tallest tower in the Western Hemisphere.

On projects spanning transportation, buildings, water, governments, energy, and the environment, we deliver professional services throughout the project lifecycle.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Develops and refines critical analytical and design competencies essential for structural engineering projects.Executes complex engineering design tasks under the supervision of an experienced engineer.Produces precise designs, intricate calculations, detailed sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.Gathers and conducts thorough analysis of critical data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.Utilizes advanced computer software as a tool for solving sophisticated engineering problems.Adheres strictly to established budgets and schedules under supervision, ensuring project milestones are met with utmost professionalism.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Software skills: MATLAB, Autodesk, Revit, MicroStation, STAAD, Microsoft Office, and/or AutoCAD.Previous internship experience within a structural engineering discipline.Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Experience working with bridges in the NY Metro area.
