**Job Title: Fitter and Fabricator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Fitter/Fabricator to join our team, specializing in structural steel and bridge projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in layout and fitting, proficient blueprint reading skills, and hands-on experience in structural welding and fitting. Responsibilities include performing layout and fitting of structural steel components and bridge girders with speed and accuracy, interpreting complex blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications, utilizing various tools and equipment for fitting tasks, conducting quality checks, collaborating with team members to meet deadlines, maintaining a safe work environment, and assisting in troubleshooting during the fabrication and installation process. **Hard Skills** + Blueprint reading + Structural welding and fitting + Utilizing tools like welding machines, grinders, cutting torches + Interpreting technical specifications **Soft Skills** + Problem-solving + Collaboration + Time management + Attention to detail **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 720 Hour(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Tigard, Oregon. **Work Environment** Our 180,000 sq ft single steel fabrication facility is one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest. We are AISC certified to work on high-rise buildings, bridges, marine, and other structural steel projects.
